The latest details on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have been made public as reports indicated that Quad HD displays might be used for these smartphones. The Galaxy S6 will allegedly feature a dual-edge display as well.

Samsung is expected to reveal these flagship devices in the upcoming Mobile World Congress in March. Last year’s MWC event saw the introduction of its current flagship smartphone - the Galaxy S5.

However, before Samsung reveals all of its specs and features, tech experts and critics have already been insisting that the successor to the Galaxy S4 is likely to put forward disappointing options and performance. Consequently, the Galaxy S5 did not achieve considerable success as that of its predecessors.

While fans have yet to wait for these highly anticipated smartphones, current flagship smartphone Galaxy S5 can offer a bright and crisp display along with a quad-core processor and a high-quality camera experience. It may be noticeable, however, that the S5 is merely a slight upgrade to the S4. Disapproving reviews on its fingerprint scanner and its exaggeratedly high price over top-ranking devices have also been very common.

As such, Samsung is most likely to follow the steps it has taken in developing the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge playbook and have the upcoming Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge introduced as its next-gen flagship devices at the MWC 2015.

With the User Agent Profile for the SM-G920A being leaked, such device has been claimed to be a Galaxy S6 to be distributed by AT&T. According to the details, Samsung will be bringing a significant upgrade to the Galaxy S6 display. The 1920 x 1080 display of the Galaxy S5 will likely be replaced with a 2560 x 1440 Quad HD display.

Additionally, the Galaxy S6 Edge will reportedly imitate the Galaxy Note Edge with a distinct curved display. Instead of featuring a single curved panel on its right side, a dual-edge display will be used for the smartphone. As such, a second edge display can be found on the left side of the device.

The Galaxy S6 Edge will be supporting a panel-based system that is similar to that of the Note Edge and will have panels for apps, contacts and many more.
