With a new user manual for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 having made public on the official Samsung site, significant changes have been recognized when the Android 5.0 Lollipop update rolls out to the device. Such update is expected to be released before the end of January.

As the Lollipop 5.0.1 is about to be released for the Galaxy Note 4, specific variants of the device will be getting the latest OS, including SM-910C, SM-N910F, SM-N910H, SM-N910CQ, SM-910G, AND SM-910U.

The company is expected to roll out the latest version for the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge, which will be released with a curved and flexible display that covers up to the side of the device. According to the manual, it is confirmed that the latest update will be released and not an initial update to the previous Lollipop 5.0.

With Samsung launching the Galaxy Note 4 last fall, the smartphone received considerable attention from the fans, tech experts and more. After being sold out in numerous locations, it took the Korean company some time to keep up with the demand.

In terms of physical layout, the forthcoming upgrade is expected to only bring about minor changes. These are most likely to be centered on the notifications whereas the TouchWiz user interface will not be greatly affected.

On the other hand, the latest OS will reportedly enhance the battery life and overall performance of the device.

The Galaxy Note 4 is the latest flagship phablet for Samsung and is currently being put forward against Google’s Nexus 6 and Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus. The device features a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display along with a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera that has been integrated with optical image stabilization (OIS). The Note 4 also comes with a combination of plastic and metal for its premium build.

The Note 4's specs have already been welcomed with widespread approval. Aside from its strongly vibrant display and superior camera, fast LTE data speeds and a tough processor have also been widely praised by users, experts and critics alike, allowing the Note 4 to garner mostly positive reviews.
